Lounge is a fast-growing lingerie and loungewear brand, creating highly experiential stores that mirror its strong digital presence. The Cardiff store extends that brand experience into a key regional shopping centre.
Brief: Turn a CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) concept pack into a fully buildable, compliant design for a 116m² store with 60m² back of house. The scheme had to satisfy Lounge’s design team, the shopping centre’s technical criteria and local authority requirements, without losing the visual impact of the original renders.
Our Approach
CGIs look great, but from a CDM, landlord approval, and practical perspective they can’t be built from! We:
- Worked through a structured design-development phase with Lounge’s design team to protect key brand moments while resolving real-world details.
- Converted the render pack into coordinated working drawings covering architecture, joinery, lighting and M&E.
- Handled all technical submissions and approvals with the centre and local authority so there were no surprises once on site.
- Used a dedicated Project Manager to run the project end-to-end, giving all parties a single, accountable contact.

Outcome
The finished store delivers the look and feel of the CGIs on the ground, fitting rooms, hero displays and material choices all landed as intended. Approvals were secured without delays, and the build ran cleanly, allowing Lounge to hit their opening date and immediately trade from a space that feels on-brand and considered.
Duration
